Now in its 13th year, HaZamir provides hundreds of Jewish high school-age teens the opportunity to gather together and sing Jewish choral music in local ensembles and at the HaZamir Festival, held annually . There are now 17 HaZamir-affiliated ensembles based in Manhattan, Northern New Jersey, New Brunswick (NJ), Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Houston, Providence (RI), Portland (ME), Phoenix, St. Louis, Washington, D.C., Alexandria (VA), London, Madrid and Montreal. New choirs are in the planning stages. By providing a high-quality, structured program, HaZamir's unique experience helps foster a lifelong commitment to Jewish culture and music in young people, and builds a strong future for Jewish involvement among its participants.
